|
|
Basically what I want to do is draw text (and hopefully boxes) to game screen. I would like to avoid using directx as it apparently causes a lot of flicker. I would like to use the easiest method available. I have looked at many tutorials for this, but I find them very hard to follow, if someone could lead me, that would be great.
Thanks.

The tutorials you are reading about how to do this is how it is done,
Opengl or Directx. There is a learning curve.
Unless you write a ui for the game in it's scripting language.
Some games have menus in them and you can create one in the screen the same.

im not sure i get what your saying, but if you want to be able to "edit" websites, i got this javascript you can copy paste to your adress bar and click enter, then you can edit everything client sided, but it will only be changed temporary, so when you close down/exits the window its not editable/able to view what you did earlier
note: its only view-able on YOUR computer
