worst.compiler.ever. can't even make DLLs properly. Just say no.

Instead, try lcc, tcc, pelles c or msvc

Dev C++ has been unsupported for upwards of two years and has some hardcore deprecated code. And don't even think about trying to link another API to it.

In order to give it proper dues on the other hand... it is an excellent compiler for beginners to start with just to get a conceptual idea of how coding works at a basic level.

I would suggest either 2005 or possibly checking out eclipse.

I will sticky this on one condition , it has to be a library . I will make a library and PM me for good compilers and download link to put in my library .

For new beginners who want a simple and easy compiler , you can't go past dev C++ 4 .
