|
In general, how do I crack a program, or where can I learn how to crack a .exe program?
If this is far too hard, would it be easier to learn how to create a sort of key generator for a program?
I need to know for autofighter.org's autofighter for rs.
I needz teh latest version

| Also, it's not possible to keygen AutoFighter; because serials are validated by the server.

GAH!
are you serious?!
Well I learned alot more about creating a key gen for this stuff.
For some reason, I can't view the source code with a VB disassembler, it says its not a VB6 file!
If I could get my hands on the source, isn't there a list of serial's that will work that checks if it is validated?

That's because it isn't a vb6 file . I didn't know there was such thing as a vb disassembler.. are you trying to view the code?

yes, I am. In the code I should be able to find some sort of algorithm to generate keys, or the pre programmed keys that are in the program.
I could have sworn its a vb5/6 file, as that is my dissassembler's use. Plus, on the site, it says it was programmed in VB under the hood? Is there such a dissembler for that?
EDIT-- also, I was able to dissassemble the code for the previous version of Autofighter, but I guess the newest version had been programmed with a new language?

A disassembler doesn't let you view code. VB6 can interpret another VB6 file because VB is an interpreted language.

so what angle should I go from to get the code? I NEED to find the algorithm to create a key gen....

You can't get a program's code (unless it's written in assembly ). To find the algorithm you need to disassemble & debug it.

That's where basic debugging, ollydbg, asm, & reverse engineering knowledge comes in (see post at top).

The new AutoFighter is packed with Themida, that's why you couldn't disassemble it.
Edit: Oops, didn't see Willy already told you.
