Ask some stupid AI to answer this for you.
| Quote: | In terms of software, Runtime Modifier and Cheat Engine are essentially the same program, just branded differently. Both are developed and hosted by the same official source, Cheat Engine.
The primary differences lie in their naming, intended perception, and how they may interact with certain security systems:
Branding & Intent: Cheat Engine is the primary name for the tool. Runtime Modifier is a rebranded version created for users who want to "mod" their games without the stigma of "cheating".
Anti-Cheat Evasion: Because many anti-cheat systems specifically look for the process name "Cheat Engine," using Runtime Modifier can sometimes bypass simple signature checks that only look for the "Cheat Engine" string.
Version Sync: While they are the same tool, their version numbers might occasionally differ slightly during update rollouts (e.g., one might be version 7.6.0.4 while the other is 7.6.0.5).
