Cheat Engine

Hello, I've finished getting all achievements for this short and fun game made in Unity called First Racer on Steam, and decided to have more fun with it with Cheat Engine.

If it is not too much to ask, what might I learn more about if I wanted to hack money in it? Maybe it is easy, maybe there's a similar topic and I don't know what to search for, or maybe it's too advanced for a newbie, please let me know.

I was able to get unlimited nitro use by searching for decreasing 5 - 1 values in INT4, finding what instructions writes to it, replacing it with useless code.

I also wanted to hack money, but could not do it.

The pointer is very easy to find and it works every time I restart the game, but there seems to be some kind of minor protection going on, simply changing its value doesn't affect the game other than visually until I change it in-game.

I tried replacing random instructions, but the most I could do was "freeze" my money, which meant I was able to buy anything lower or equal to what I had.

This would only be for fun and learning, otherwise I'm satisfied with the game and I'm moving on, so no worries if it's too random to help.
