Seeking Help: Lifting Restrictions on Summoning Assassin Recruits in Special Modes or Missions of AC:Brotherhood via Cheat Engine
Greetings, Cheat Engine community!
I’m currently exploring Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and trying to modify the game via Cheat Engine to enable the Assassin Signal (for summoning recruits) in all scenarios—including main missions, side quests, special objectives, and even game modes like Virtual Training. However, I’ve encountered a critical roadblock:
The Problem:
In certain game states (e.g., Virtual Training, specific story missions labeled as "special tasks"), the game ignores the key press for summoning assassins—even if I successfully modify the Assassin Signal’s energy bar to appear full (visually, the UI shows the bar is active).
My observations:
The energy bar itself can be hacked to display as "full" or "usable," but the summon function remains inactive.
This issue isn’t limited to one scenario—it repeats across different game modes where the game seems to "lock" certain features.
My Hypothesis:
I suspect the game has a hard-coded "feature enable/disable" system that initializes when the game launches. This system probably links specific scenarios, game modes, or player states to allowed functions. For example:
Virtual Training mode might flag the Assassin Signal as "disabled" by default, overriding any UI changes.
What I Need Help With:
Does anyone have ideas about how to bypass this "state-based" restriction? (E.g., finding memory addresses that control feature availability, not just UI display.)
Would any fellow modders be interested in reinstalling the game and experimenting for fun? Even small insights about the game’s memory structure or function calls would be invaluable!
Final, I really like this game~
Thanks for reading—let’s unlock this mystery together! 🕵️♂️
