1) "Add the code to the code list" in the memory viewer top tab doesnt actually open the code viewer. You can fill it, but not access it. Great way to confuse people that remembered that that should actually work. Doing the same in the "The following opcode accessed ..." window does open the code list.

2) I tried to set a breakpoint in the Memory Viewers top tab, and it doesnt actually break the code when the address is accessed. Setting a breakpoint on access in the bottom tab actually does the job, and the application stops. Same address. Why does doing the same thing in two different tabs result in different outcomes ? What are breakpoints in the top tab used for ?


In general i feel like i have to debug Cheat Engine more than the application it is attached to. Whenever something doesnt work i always have to ask myself if my approach is wrong, or if CE behaves in an unexpected way.

did you mean the "bookmarks"? I also gave up on the bookmarks... invisibles, hard to set and to get... I try to do all with the few breakpoints (F5) available.
About the codelist, you can access by the button which is deep down-left gui, "Advanced Options"... dunno why its there, and not called "Code list"... btw, when save, the .ct file contains the code list, along with some values called before, actual, after... but dunno what are those values, and how to access them in the gui... (btw, it would be nice if the codelist saved also the instructions snapshot, and the registers values...but I guess its too much to ask) hope that helped a bit...
