(IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE) - Hyper-V Conflict
Hi everyone,
I’m encountering a BSOD (IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE) when launching Cheat Engine with kernel mode enabled (DBK64).
After some testing, I also checked multiple forums, and they all suggest disabling Hyper-V as a fix (along with other common solutions like updating Windows, running sfc /scannow, DISM, etc.). I’ve tried all of these, but the issue persists.
Disabling Hyper-V does resolve the problem, but I rely on Hyper-V for WSL 2, which is essential for my development work, so turning it off is not a viable solution for me.
This problem didn’t happen before, but unfortunately, I don’t know exactly when or what changed—whether it was a Windows update, a Cheat Engine update, or something else. All I know is that this issue didn’t exist before, but now it does.
System specs:
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (10.0.19045.5371 - Win10 22H2 2022 Update)
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K Quad-Core, 4.1 GHz
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-M
RAM: 12GB DDR3 1600MHz
Security Software: Windows Defender only (Cheat Engine and drivers already added to exclusions)
Cheat Engine 7.5
Has anyone managed to fix this, or does anyone have any idea what the actual problem is? Or is it simply the case that Hyper-V can’t work alongside Cheat Engine in kernel mode?
Thanks in advance![/b]
