It's Sonic the Hedgehog Classic 2, a freeware sequel to a previous title. Incidentally, I can't fucking adjust the goddamn ring value in that game either. I have tried every single goddamn motherfucking method I've used that has worked for this kind of adjustment before.

I've tried scanning for exact values in every possible value type. Nothing.

I've tried unknown initial value and tried reducing the results by making gradual changes. Nothing.

I can't make anything fucking stick and this shit is fucking pissing me off to no goddamn end because all I want to do is just tear through the fucking stages in Super form without constantly having to worry about my goddamn motherfucking rings running out. Even if I do manage to narrow it down to fucking something that looks like it could be what I'm looking for, I can't freeze or change the value because OF FUCKING COURSE NOT. Either that, or something I think might be the fucking value I'm trying to adjust keeps fucking jumbling and scrambling and randomizing the goddamn motherfucking numbers despite however I tried to search for and isolate the values in the first place.

The game doesn't have any apparent anti-cheat mechanisms, at least none that give me some annoying message about using Cheat Engine. It's such goddamn motherfucking bullshit.

it says it's for ios and android

So what method are you using to run the game?
What do you attach to?
And what have you tried? (e.g is mem-mapped checked?)

See, this is where it gets dicey. What you're referring to is the official title that also has 'Classic' in the name, which of course throws quite a bit off. What I'm playing is a fanmade game that happens to have the word 'Classic' in the title, but it's a separate game altogether. I'm not even sure if this one has an Android or iOS port. Anyhoo, I'm playing it on Windows 10. This is how I have my scan settings configured. I can't post it as a URL in the response yet, it seems. I've tried each scan type checked off both individually and collectively, I tried both exact values and unknown values, each time making sure to adjust the changes that were made before I rescanned in order to narrow down the results, neither of which seems to work. I know I'm able to make changes in the game via Cheat Engine because I can tamper with the text on the opening screen through editing string search results, but that was never a goal. Anyway, as soon as I think I've reduced the amount of possibilities, the results turn red and none of the values match what I'm seeing. In fact, the values don't even stay static, they just continuously cycle through numbers. If I manage to get anything isolated, it just winds up being something completely irrelevant.
