Hi there,
I am playing X4 Foundations. It is a single player space-simulation game with lots going on at any given time. In this game I can design my own stations that are made up of modules. In the in-game station designer I have a Shuffle Modules button that generates a layout using modules I have placed in the scene.
I have read somewhere that the limiting factor behind the Shuffle Modules button is the time it is allowed to generate a layout and if it cannot generate one fast enough it simply does nothing. Maybe the function only gets one shot at generating a valid layout and isn't time restricted at all - I don't know.
Clicking the Shuffle Modules button enough times can sometimes (but rarely) yield a layout if it happens to figure out a layout in time. It's intended use-case was so that the NPCs in the game can generate small station layouts to build in the game universe. This makes using the Shuffle Modules button great for small designs with few modules but useless for larger builds.
I am wondering if I can, and how I could go about increasing the time (or chances) the Shuffle Modules function has to complete it's computations using Cheat Engine, so if anyone can offer any useful tips, suggestions, or point me in the right direction then I would be grateful. I am no expert with Cheat Engine but I can use it.
Regards,
~ C
