Cheat Engine

Hello, I'm attempting to decrypt this game called 100% Orange Juice, it used to have a format of "user.dat" a while ago, but now it has a format of "profile0.ojs". Whenever I go to Cheat Engine and open the file, then start doing little changes from the game and save it, the entire file structure changes, even though I've only lowered the volume for example, but a lot of addresses changes.
I'm new to cheat engine in general, so any help would be appreciated into finding even a single value that can be edited, and then I could finish from there.
