Cheat Engine

Hi, I'm new to Cheat Engine. So far I managed to deal with decreasing and increasing values, but now I have a problem with a value that never changes.

Context:

In a game I have a building that stores units. Right now I have 55 units. The max capacity is 60. The max capacity cannot be increased ingame. So... I hope I can do that with cheat engine

So far I managed to crash my game a dozen times, spent two nights, took five coffee breaks, got nowhere. Would aprecciate some help, or better, a detailed guide. Thanks in advanced!

I like your insistence but that isn't necessarily going to make you succeed without the proper knowledge.
I suggest you start your way with some easier tasks and eat the cake from the available angle. And watch YouTube.

To answer your question:
Since you can change the value that is being watched to not exceed 60, that means the number you're looking for is very close in memory and most definitely in assembly.

You should first, look into the memory region looking for a 60 around the number you've got (55) if it's right next to it then it's most likely it.

If you can't find it in the memory region then you have to take the assembly route and use the option "Find out what accesses this address" on the address of (55)

Some instructions will pop up, then you have to start a complicated task that only if you understand assembly can you do it.

Give me the name of the game I might make a tutorial about it if possible or a game similar if not.

Thanks, friend. Yes, I started watching lost of YouTube, and I think I'm starting to move in a right direction. And thank you for your advices, I think they will be very handy. I think I will try and do it by myself, thanks for the offer I'm on a vacation now, so I hava a plenty of free time!

Oh, and a managed to dig up a script that some dude wrote to raise the capacity from 60 to 250, but it's for the older version of the game and doesn't work now, of course. So, after I find the correct adress, maybe I'll update the script!
