I am new to game-hacking, and am trying to find a pointer for the value of Godpower in the game ITRTG (Idling to Rule The Gods). I have followed multiple tutorials now, and repeated the steps precisely many times, and every single time I compare my pointermaps I get 0 results. Any ideas?
Pointers are magic to me. If you can find where the instruction is, you can patch it.
I welcome instruction and guidance in this topic following- don't take my words as finality for this question. _________________
I looked at this a while ago and found the base address is an immediate encoded in an instruction at the time of JIT compilation. The pointer scanner surely won't find that. The behaviour of the JIT compiler may have changed since I looked at it.
Try code injection to copy the address. Search for "injection copy" _________________
I don't know where I'm going, but I'll figure it out when I get there.
