Hi, I want to change the difficulty in mid-game and the option is greyed out in the game menu.
Please help me find the option to do so in Cheat Engine.
Thank you for all! Have a great one |

Start new game, find address that stores difficulty, as you save the setting see what accesses that address. Trace it to where the game stores it. Open old game, look for the stored value, change it. Save, reload. If it works, great, if it doesn't, then you need to find where it is stored in the save file and edit it from there.
There are an infinite number of ways to accomplish the edit but you have to figure out which way works for this game and your skill level. |

"Start new game, find address that stores difficulty"
how to do that?
And the game save file is a .sav file witch is in binary so I cannot edit it.
Need to go with the first option. |

If you can manually change the difficulty at any point (e.g. before starting the game, on a menu, in options etc.), then look there. Once found, change the difficulty (make sure that the changes are applied/saved) and scan for changed value. Keep doing it until you find something.
You can also try ultimap. |

Assume that the difficulty value is unknown. So use CE to scan for an unknown initial value.
After you change the in-game value, use CE to search for a changed value. Simply keep changing the in-game value while using CE to search for changed/unchanged value until you narrow down your results.
You can also toggle the checkbox 'compare to first scan' to narrow things down even more (just be sure that the in-game setting is the same as when you performed your first scan). |

Thanks for trying to help men! But unfortunately after changing the diff and scanning for changed value, I end up around 600k values and then its going down just 3k a scan... |
