Can I use Cheat engine to change the character limit?

I’m using a game engine called 2D Fighter Maker 2002, the engine has a limit of 50 playable characters. Is there a way to increase that limit using Cheat engine? I think it’s possible if I could inject a DLL but I’m not sure.

you may change playable character limit,but it might be crashing because all code was focused only for 50 playable characters,changing it may crash game

Thank you for the quick response, do you have any idea how this might be done? I might need to do more testing with cheat engine to see but I’m trying to figure out where to go from here.

if you want to change limit of playable characters find out address that was accessed when you unlock new character,find offset in address that was accessed simply scrolling down or up,btw there's must be opcode "cmp [eax+14],32",the eax register and offset are examples,for your game it might be different
