So I just learned how to do pointer scanning and I decided to save the pointer I just found to a cheat table but the problem is that the pointer I added as record resets whenever I open the cheat table where I just saved it to. Why is that?
My records before reopening the cheat table:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Active | Description | Address | Type | Value
_ | Start Block | P->225912B0184 | 4 Bytes | 100
------------------------------------------------------------
My records after opening the cheat table:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Active | Description | Address | Type | Value
_ | Start Block | P-> 00000000 | 4 Bytes | 0
-------------------------------------------------------------
The game I'm dealing with is called "Growtopia", it is a 2D multiplayer sandbox game and I'm trying to get the pointer to the first block of the world in order to manipulate the 2D world (I am aware this works for the client side only).
If it resets to 00000000 then it is an invalid pointer.
I don't think so because adding it manually doesn't reset it. I think I found a clue to my problem, it says "Scan error: thread 3: Access violation" whenever I have my cheat table loaded and selected "Growtopia.exe" as process and scan for any type of value.
