Cheat Engine

Hi all,

I've used CE before on some games and worked just fine, I'm not an expert, but I definitely made it work with some other games

on Anno 1404 History edition - with, or without Venice expansion - the CE is not working no matter how hard I try...

as a side note, for those who are not so familiar with this Anno it was initially released under the name Dawn of Discovery under an indie label, that was later on purchased by the big U - Ubisoft - and absorbed into what was to become the Anno franchise...

however, in my humble opinion, the Anno 1404 faded out with little success from users to keep buying new DLCs, mainly because of this inability to cheat and/or use mods that were heavily restricted from the start by a hardheaded chief developer involved with the project at the time of releasing it...

it frustrates me to see, especially nowadays in 2021, when many game developers they, themselves provide to the users from the launch cheats and mods, this game is not bending, not even with the CE...

I cannot believe this game is stronger than hackers and modders...

now, I can understand some reasons for not using cheats in multiplayer games, but for a single-player game, played locally on our own computer, there is no reason to prevent cheats and/or mods, even big names like Rockstar and their GTA series releases cheats and allow mods for the single-player mode since it's up to the user how they want to play the game in single-player...

any solutions, any suggestions from you guys..??..

yes, it's a somewhat old game, especially now in 2021, but still, it has its charm, and now even more, with the technology of today should be even easier to hack it...

I could use some help with some new ideas about how to bend this game...
