Yesterday I was playing Last Epoch (On steam, if relevant). In game currency is really slow and not affecting the game by all that much, so I figured I'd change the value because it wouldn't really take the joy out of the game by changing something fairly minor.

So, I used cheat engine to find the value and changed it to 99999999 or something. I used that to buy stuff whilst keeping it active.

At one point I went to bed, not thinking about it. When I woke up, I noticed the game had crashed. When I restarted, game engine showed the value as ?? and couldn't be changed.

In-game, however, my gold value was like -8937154371
I tried searching for the value again, but whether I searched for 8937154371 or -8937154371, it had no return. I now am worried that I will never have gold ever again.

I tried some trainers and such, but those didn't work, or wanted me to pay for them.

Do any of you have an idea? The gold isn't super important so it is doable without but still, I'd prefer to have... some.

what value type was gold when you changed it ?
Have you tried scanning with the 8 byte type? (4 byte can not hold the value -8937154371, but 8 byte can)

Is is possible to somehow change it by gaining gold ? If so, what you can do is search for unknown initial value with the correct value type, and then search for increased value when you gain gold

The value you find may not look like the value you're looking for(they will show as really big numbers), but try some of the results anyhow. Change them to 4000 or so

Thank you! The value type I sadly don't have anymore. After it stopped working I figured it was pointless to keep, so I removed it.

The scanning with 8 byte type was a good idea. I tried that, but sadly it didn't result in anything.

Since I do not have the type anymore, would the idea with the increase work? I'll try it anyway. Really appreciate the help

Edit: It worked! I was able to search for the unknown initial value and then the increases. The number was indeed completely different from what was showing in game. I changed it to 400 at first, which worked, and then to a higher number. Although now I didn't keep it at active. Thank you so much! You're awesome
