The Chocolatey installer no longer works for C.E. 7.2 because the GitHub for 7.2 doesn't have the executable like previous versions did. Are you able to add the executable so we can install Cheat Engine via Chocolatey again?
In the Releases section of the GitHub repository, previous versions of Cheat Engine had the following Assets listed:
STN just let me know that the reason this disappeared is that you have an ad-free version locked behind Patreon. That makes sense, but it's disappointing for someone like myself who would love to have all apps installable via Chocolatey.
I have a suggestion that you are obviously free to disregard as it would mean more work on your end for possibly little gain:
For your ad-free installer you could have it prompt the user for a license key when the program runs (if a valid license key doesn't exist). Every time the program updates the first run would require a check to confirm that the key is still valid. If it is setup this way then we could still have a Chocolatey installer, but the only people able to use it are the ones who got a license key.
Additionally, I wouldn't mind paying a one time lifetime fee just for the ad-free Chocolatey installer as well.
Just some thoughts I had. Sorry for bugging you now that I know why the executable was removed. Thanks @STN for letting me know about the Patreon.
