Cheat Engine

I've used cheat engine before but on a very basic level, not really understanding what's happening, just copying instructions. And I'm trying to install it again so I can go ham on this management game. Whenever I press the .exe an initial pop-up of "Runtime error (at 266:187): Could not call proc" appears followed by "Runtime error at (at 258:21): Null Pointer Exception". I have no idea where to even start looking since all I have is the .exe and don't know of any necessary prereqs for Cheat Engine.

Try disabling your anti virus and "reputation based protection"

Also having the same issue. Disabled my antivirus and restarted, nothing changed. I just get the "select language to use during install" screen and then those two errors.

update: Older versions, specifically 7.0 and 6.8.3, work. This only happens with 7.2.
