I could use some fresh ideas..I'm trying to make a instant/fast research, and so far I've found the timer of the main game loop.
What i'm stuck on now is the timer of the started research..when I pause the game timer, the research pauses as well. I've tried checking what reads/writes the timer address, but nothing interesting came up that I could isolate to the starting and stopping of research. Any ideas?

Ok what basics am I missing? I've put the writable and executable checkboxes both in gray, I tried reloading saves and enabling/disabling the building to whittle down the list, I attached readers and write listeners but nothing gives changed results when I stop the research timer.
This isn't my first hack or anything, I can't believe i'm missing something obvious here
