I recently discovered an updated version of an old game and would like to do integer testing. But, the game is available only on the Web (that I know of). What would be the recommended solution for testing the integers in that game, as Cheat Engine does not work with Web-based games? I remember reading the reasoning for it. But, I do not remember what it was (as it was a while ago that I had read it). Are there special hacking tools for those games? What I found is Bookworm HD. Based on my brief time of playing the game so far and my knowledge of the original game, I have a good idea of what to expect (that is: signed 32-bit integers). But, I cannot know unless I manipulate the memory to test it. (As seeing a value of, for example: 80,000 points for a word tells me only that the integer width is greater than 16 bits).

Most web based games can be hacked - unless of course they are server-based.

Perhaps that is the case with Bookworm HD then. I tried using Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer (which Pogo does not work with), and Firefox. I was not able to test the game’s integers (which are probably 32 bits wide) in any of those. Sadly, in order to test the integer type without hacking (for the word values), the player would be required to go through over 1,000,000 levels and maintain a 12-letter word constructed of all diamond tiles the whole way through. I tried for 7 diamond tiles and did not get there before my game was force-ended on level 48 with only 2 of the diamond tiles missing. Perhaps there is something that I am missing. I am currently using the week-long trial of Club Pogo and intend on cancelling it, since I foresee myself playing only Bookworm HD. But, if I cannot even hack the game, it is a deal breaker. I generally use the hacking for 2 things with Bookworm. Those are: 1) integer length testing and 2) starting a game at a specific level (often either randomly generated or 1 of a small set of specific levels). It would be great if Bookworm HD uses 64-bit integers; but, given what I have seen of the game so far and having played only 1 word game that uses 64-bit integers that I can recall, I suspect that it does not use those.
