|
|
Hi,
I've been quiet successful in reaching my goal, the idea is to run a game inside VMWare workstation and have CE run on the Host. Thus using CE to read the VM's memory to access some game data (health/position/ ...)
This all works just fine, but it only works once. Every time I restart the VM these memory addresses seem to move and I have to repeat the steps to find the values, all values are also set to '??' first time
Has anyone has similar issues or anyone that can point me in the right direction? I've also searched though most posts containing 'cheatengine & vmware' without success though!
PS: I'm just starting with this 'hacking' thingy, so be gentle :p
Thanks in advance

That's always will be the case due to the virtualization.
Why don't you run CE in the virtualized OS?

I have tried running it inside the VM, but this game has some 'Battleeye' protection that somehow hides its memory, U can attach CE to the process, but any attempt at reading just returns empty.
:p
