|
|
I was working on making a cheat table for a game, and stupid me didn't save once through the 6 hour process of sifting through the memory region.
I've been trying to see if I can recover it from memory with another cheat engine window, but I can only seem to find fragmented parts when searching strings. It's already been a couple hours and I wasn't able to find anything helpful when googling.
I don't know what else to do at this point. (other than start from scratch again and rewrite my scripts and refind my values) Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Edit: I'm using cheat engine 7.0

what is gone is gone.Best thing you can do to avoid this is in future is to find your address and also find the instruction that accesses it and add it to the codelist and then save it and
the next time access the address using that instruction by doing "what address this instruction acceses."
Sometimes be a maniac, keep pressing ctrl-s for no apparent reason so that you get in the habit of using it.

| If you only spent 6 hours on it, you're going to be spending a lot more time recovering it than just starting over. There are ways to get fragments of a file using third party software, but then again, you'll be spending a lot more time doing that when you can just start over. Next time keep saving.

| Besides the obvious "save your progress replys"... tables are basically human-readable XML files. Check your temp directory if you can find something useable.
