So... I'm playing Thief 2 from Good Old Games. I'm trying to find out where it stores arrows, even if it's just for that level. So I scanned for the number I had, shot an arrow, scanned again, repeat until I find the address. Then I send it down to the address list, change it to make sure it changes the arrows (it does), then right-click and choose "Pointer scan for this address". Window pops up, I am doing "Scan for address" with the address nicely filled in already, and the options checked are:
Only find paths with a static address
No looping pointers
Max different offsets per node: 10
Nr of threads scanning: 6
Maximum offset value: 4095
Max level: 7
Clicking okay, it asks for a save file (I pick 'thief1.ptr'), runs through, finds about 40 million pointers. I then close the game, load the game again, find the address again, and go to my pointer scan, tell it 'Rescan memory', then for the "Address to find" I put in the new address I just found, with no options checked, click okay, tell it to save as 'thief2.ptr'... and get 0 results.
Am I doing this right? And if so... now what?

T2 stores items the same way T1 did.
I already described how T1 stores it.

How did you find the array in the first place, though? I can't find a static address to look at for that array. It only seems to go back one pointer, and after that I can't find the values CE suggests.

Fired arrows one by one and searched for the counts.
Some with other items, but arrow count was the most convenient.
