While using CE I sometimes randomly get this error.

After which addresses in the list stop updating on their own. They update if I click anywhere on the CE window but not otherwise.

and do you have extra extensions installed in ce?

and what windows version do you use?

Windows 10 1607 ltsb

No extensions

Lately I've only been using it for one game (ps2 game through pcsx2), so not 100% sure whether it occurs with other tables. I'll test it a bit and see. But it's very random, sometimes it can go an hour without issues, other times I get it just 5 minutes in.

The table has 17 entries, most of which are populated by running aob scans.

It looks like you are "lucky" to get this error.

I don't know if it help fixing the issue... you can try CE debug version (NOTMULTITHREADED) and cedebug.txt error log.

- download:

- create folder on your desktop, e.g. CheatEngineDebugging
- extract 7z archive to this folder

- start using this 'debug' cheatengine. When you get UpdateTimer error, open CheatEngineDebugging folder and copy cedebug.txt to other location (it gets overwritten when you start CE).

- open copied cedebug.txt and if there are "Stack trace" post them here.

It doesn't happen on the debug version, been using it for a week.

It's not a permanent solution though since it has other problems, like freezing being too slow and becoming unresponsive if I freeze multiple values at once
