Hello,
I recently updated my CE installation from 6 point something to 7.1
And I found that CE has got new icons.
Is there any way to use the older icons? The new ones are too big and flashy (especially in the menu entries) for my tastes.
(I looked in settings but did not find any option to use old icons, so I am assuming the answer is No)

Not the answer you are going to want to hear, but CE is open source and can be modified to your liking as needed. The new icons are compiled into the exe's inside of image lists as raw data. So there is currently no override (that I'm aware of) to modify them with ease without recompiling from source.
