Since for now i could not find a solution to make Ultimap work on my computer. I found here in the forum a suggestion to another tool.
And from what i have seen it looks great to isolate the part you want to study in the code. It even as this timeline of events thing which i find awesome, since im very visual.
You can see an example here:

How good is this tool as an alternative to Ultimap? Can i get away with this? Or i really need cheat engine ultimap?
Im trying to do something very similar to what he is doing in the video.
That is, to look for a function in the game where there is no objective address, but an actual combination of functions that happen at certain point.
For example: Im trying to understand what causes my character to move one step forward. Or what triggers the selection of units in a rts. Or what clicks in a unit and sends it somewhere. These are not as simple as teleporting them.
Basically im not interested in hacking the values of the game. But to actually make my units move in a certain. Issue commands automatically. Send units to specific parts of the map. And i think that is in my opinion legitimate and probably will even work online.
Let me know what you think.
Sorry if im posting too much. Ive just been learning so much with cheat engine.
