|
|
As the title says, I'm doing the cheat engine 6.6 tutorial and when I'm trying to pointer scan the address of the value, the scan returns nothing (0 paths found). I re-installed cheat engine 6.6, thinking that maybe my settings were bad but it didn't changed anything. I searched a lot for a solution to this problem but I didn't find anything.
I tried the same steps on my other computer and the scan returned results and I was able to find the right pointer.
Also, it returns 0 results in all the games that I tried, not only in the tutorial.
Thx for the help !

try "generate pointermap" then go to "pointer scan" window and use saved pointermap.
or maybe the solution is changing the "maximum offset value"if its 2047 change it to 2710. << sometime it help
and max level, 5 < as default. << usually enough for any game.
NOTE: the higher the offset the longer scan.

make sure that the path you write the .ptr file to has ASCII characters only (no native characters)

Thanks it works well now ! I was writing to desktop so the path was containing my username and it has "é" in it.

This helped a lot.
Windows 10 is suggesting to save file in default "documents" path, where windows username include non-ASCII symbols...
Just need safe another place.

That's it! Just change path to C:\
Ex: C:\PointerMaps\point.PTR
