How would you go about scanning for some kind of address to give either an infinite time or auto succeeding for quicktime events?

I'm pretty much a novice. All I've really done in the past is find addresses for stuff like money in games where it's easy to change the value and find the change. But even that I still haven't really figured out how to make a permanent script rather than have to find it every time.

Pause the game?

If avaible, a second monitor for the cheat engine window is helpful in time-critical scans. As a timer is mostly implemented as a float, I would begin to limit a scan to this value type, usally with a value bigger than ?30? (insert whatever you assume for your game here), if you only have some kind of a progress bar and no readable number. Use the options to define shortcuts for scanning, so you dont have to tab out. Also the scan type "value between" can help you to limit your scan results.

Autosucceeding is a much more complicated thing and depends hardly on the specific game and given situation.
