Cheat Engine

Hello everyone!

I'm pretty to new to using Cheat Engine, I can do the basic stuff, searching for a value, changing it, narrowing it down by finding values that were this but are now this etc,

I find myself needing to do something a little more complicated than that, I'm playing Final Fantasy V - and I've missed a couple items in previous areas of the game. I remember Pokémon FireRed where there was a cheat to enter a building and end up wherever you set it to spawn you.

That's essentially what I'm trying to do, how would I begin to find where the current map is stored, or what map will be loaded next, what kind of value am I searching for here?

Having done a little research, in pokèmon FireRed each place has a first ID and every port leads to another place with another ID.
Those hacks modify the ID in which the ports lead, if you have the address of the current place just see what it writes above and from there you can modify the code to teleport you wherever you want
