Cheat Engine

So I'm trying to attach a cheat table to a game called Gangsters 2: Vendetta. The cheats themselves work fine except the game becomes almost unplayable as soon as I attach the .exe to CE. A lot of the graphics become green/purple/pink and the mouse movement gets laggy. Even with an empty table it does this. So it's either an option in CE bugging out the game or it's a glitch within the game's .exe. I tried an older CE version, compatibility, 32bit CE, but the results are the same.

It looks similar to a texture corruption I guess except, all I do is attach the .exe to CE. No codes activated Here's how it looks:
