Hey there!
I'm new to CE, did all the integrated tutorials and tried some tests on different games but stuck to understand the reason of one behavior..
I have this address I'm looking for, cannot find it in the main scan screen but when I do a pointer scan, it gave me multiple results (I was able to find the right one there).
Is there a reason why some addresses are only find-able in the pointer scan but not the general scan?
EDIT: If it helps, the variable was accessed by only one ASM instruction which didn't contain any offset

Perhaps you missed an offset in an assembler instruction, or there where more than 1 results when doing an hexscan and you didn't evaluate every single one of them
Hey Dark Byte and thank you for answering, I didn't expect to have the guru to answer me at first!
I tried again and took some screenshots to confirm what I was saying (or there is really something I'm missing..).

As you can see I'm looking to find something that points to 24B22E2104C. As there is no offset, I put directly the address in HEX in the main search screen but no result.
However, if I do a pointer scan on this address, I have a lot of results (included the one I'm looking for) as you can see below.
