Cheat Engine

im trying to make a table for overlord. its a really old game by todays standards. im not very proficient with cheat engine yet. wondering if anyone else could help me. im trying to make the table have the ability to give more minion life force so i dont have to spend eons farming it up. ive messed up my save game trying to get it working. i got the value modified and i worked but i had to redo it every time i loaded the save. but eventually through messing with it i messed up the game to the point where if i tried to pull blue and green minions out it CTDs.

Try playing the "cheat engine tutorials" first, by opening Cheat Engine, going to the top, clicking on "HELP" then Cheat Engine Tutorial.

Make sure you're familiar with tutorial steps 1-6 and then:
1. Find the minion life force
2. Using the knowledge on Step6 in the training tutorial, in your Overlord game find the "pointer to the pointer to the pointer to the minion life force" (or any value you'd want), and yes it will be different than the tutorial.



Offtopic:
Other ways you can obtain what you want can be done are done with various methods (that I know of, and there are more, just I don't know how to do them yet):
- value + pointer searching (you've done the value part, above is the pointer part)
- modifying OPCodes to do what you want
- browsing the memory region of the value then making and doing a few AOB scans(takes time, but it's the most "non-complex which works on most" method)
