I have an issue where toggling any value does not freeze the value.
I'm trying to get player position so I can locate the camera. I tried locating the camera itself, yet, the camera is ALWAYS moving, even when the player is standing idle.
The game is Ni No Kuni 2. It has 4 cameras: Overworld, Dungeon, Battle, and cutscene. I'm trying to figure out if all of these camera use the same code and also can be even found.
I've enabled VEM debugger to be able to access addresses
The strangest thing is that everytime I search, I come up with different addresses, and a different number of addresses to be found (ranging usually from 50-200 minimum). Only once was I able to get down to 4 addresses, but that was when I was using window debugger, which crashes the game when debugging.
This game seems so complicated to crack the camera, I wonder how all the other code creators found their addresses
As I stated a long time ago, I'm only proficient in finding and freezing addresses, not actually writing code. Writing code is a whole nother topic and training lesson. Maybe it would be best to find someone whom I can pay to make the code for me for a decent price.
"freezing" values just writes a value to that address many times per second. It doesn't prevent the game from modifying a value.
Usually, this distinction isn't important since most values will be written to infrequently in comparison. Values that get written to every frame, such as camera coordinates, won't seem as "frozen" as you may think they should.
There might be some magic values you haven't found yet, but if you don't know how coordinates get transformed in games (i.e. linear algebra), you might have a really hard time finding and understanding them.
Changing code would certainly work, but if you don't know assembly, that obviously isn't an option for you.
