How do I cheat?

I am on mac. I want to speedhack on a game but it keeps saying "dll injection failed". I downloaded a cheat engine plugin. When I go to plugins and I click "Add new" nothing happens, nothing pops up. Release a new mac cheat engine update so I can add a new plugin please.
