| I want to try to edit the text there. I can edit it in the view, but nothing seems to change in the game. If it is possible to edit and save changes there, can i save them to a file to reimplement the changes later?

The text you are altering may not be the same location of memory used for what you are seeing on screen. For example, an item name could appear in memory multiple times, but only 1 of them is used for the actual on-screen display during certain conditions / menus. While the others could be used for other parts such as a chat box or similar.
Editing text/saving for later really depends on how it is stored, a lot of times, text for a game is stored outside of the exe/dll's and instead inside of one of the games resource files. CE wouldn't really be your best bet to use for editing those resource files though. If the data is static to the exe though you can use a hex editor to alter it, but with modern games today, that is less and less common as stuff is pushed off into resource archives/files in general.
