Hey all, so Ive been using cheat engine for a really long time now, but since Im more of an indie gamer nowadays I often find there are no tables or info that is consistently up to date. Ive been playing a game called Deep Rock Galactic, and Ive been trying to create a table that just finds fuel for the Driller on mission start so I can easily freeze it, but Im having trouble finding the static address. I use the what writes to this address feature, but I come up with multiple results, and I tried following a tutorial for finding multilevel pointers, but Im not sure if this is how I should be doing it or not. If anyone has some spare time Id love someone to help guide me through this process, as Id love to start contributing after all these years.
If anyone is willing I can post the steps Im taking, and would [love] feedback on what Im doing right or wrong to try and find the pointer. Im not very educated on coding or anything, so I apologize in advance.

/shrug there are numerous tutorials for pointers at this point, both in text and video format.
Perhaps try recording yourself and maybe it'll be more obvious what's going on?
I rarely bother with trying to find static pointers anymore and prefer to hook the code with an aobscript to do what I want, in this case nop whatever decreases the value or change it to overwrite 999 or something. A little coding experience can help a lot.
