Can't dissect java classes

When I try, I get "Error:C:\Program Files\Cheat Engine 6.8.2\autorun\java.lua:713: attempt to index a nil value (global 'javapipe')" using oracle JRE 8u51 and cheat engine 6.8.2.

Are only some specific java versions supported?

did you launch it with the jvmti agent registry setup or as a thing after running?

That would explain why it didn't work. I couldn't find any instructions on how to use it.

Seems obvious now that it obviously has to be able to communicate with the JVM somehow.

it can also work on a running jvm but that jvm must have diskaccess to the ce folder.

Normally CE's installer gives permission to everyone on that folder so not sure why it doesn't
