Cheat Engine

When I set a a few breakpoints, and then step through it line by line, and then let it continue (or some other chain of actions, I'm not sure exactly what triggers it), and it doesn't hit the breakpoint I expected it to hit next, there is very little indication that it's no longer paused. Is this normal/expected?

CheatEngine still appear to show I'm at the last executed instruction, I can still select all the "run/ste/step over/etc" options, it keeps showing register values and everything else, just doesn't appear to react to actually doing anything. It can be a very confusing situation. I attached a screenshot that shows what it looks like.

I didn't notice that. Why is there no clear indication of that? It's quite easy to miss window title change, especially when someone isn't expecting it.
