Game: Assassin's Creed Odyssey

When trying to attach the debugger, I get the message:

I could't attache the debugger to this process! You could try to open the process using the processpicker and try that! If that also doesn't work check if you have debugging rights.

It's obvious that AC is blocking the debugger. My question is, is there a way around it? I've seen trainers out already so I'm assuming so.

switch to VEH debugger, settings -> debugger options -> VEH and run CE as admin.
