When I click download CE I end up on a very doubious url:

I think I really don't want do download any executable file from there.
Is this official or is there a problem?

The domain name provides no visible web page.
Trying to download brings up an suspicious looking page with search progress bar - possible javascript attack ?

I could figure out that the problem is no issue of my pc, vpn service or router, as it also shows up on my mobile connected to mobile network.
So the problem seems to be WITHIN cheatengine.org.

DNS record shows GAL Communications as owner,
IP's are hosted within amazon cloud ireland.

Seems someone has hacked into this website and tampered with download link - maybe to spread malware?

seems to me normal ad-redirect service, i believe simple ABP plug-in can solve this issue.

It's ok. It's a randomized download link that changes domain every few months, and it does include some advertisement in javascript while it is downloading (chrome only, other browsers don't get it)

The main reason is that directly linking to the ce download (.exe) sometimes ends up in a whole domain ban by google and chrome

Thanks.. I was simply worried to get infected with some "unwanted bonus material" when downloading because it all seems soo fishy.
