Cheat Engine

What I want to do is very simple, I wanna scan a process memory to find out if theres a specific string (lets say "Hello World") located in that memory.
but I wanna add some logic to it, so im programming something of my own.
I wanna add an if statement that asks if the specific string has been found.
if(run cheat engine to search the specific string and return something)
{
}
else//string hasnt been found
{
}

is there a way to "run" cheat engine without using the gui?


I'm a newby, first time I use cheat engine. so please understand if my question might be silly .
