Cheat Engine

Hi I have tried on several games to get camera values in order to change the camera (X value, Y ,Z, FOV etc.) What I do is start unknown float value get against a wall so the camera gets closer than say decreased value, step away from the wall say increased value and so on. I was sure one of the games I got it (Red Faction Armageddon) but when I froze the value or changed it it had no effect. I tried seeing what writes to this address and the cheat engine found nothing. If someone could point me to a tutorial that would help as I can't seem to find one anywhere or better yet a quick rundown it would be so very much appreciated. This is the next thing I am trying to learn and am having trouble with it. Thank You so much, RevCarl

Looks to me like you are mixing camera values and coordonate values.
If freezing value doesn't work you can always try code injection.
If the value changes but cheat engine doesn't show you what writes to it, i am not sure what'd be the cause

Try value type Double.
Sometimes they just aint on Float.

Also try Changed / Unchanged instead of Increased / Decreased.

thx guys i will try to see if it is not a float value and try some other games also. As far as code injection I may need to touch up on cheat engine tutorials because i thought learned that but I cant seem to remember it. But I will try that also.
