Does Ultimap still not work with AMD processors

I've read that you can not use the feature 'Ultimap' on AMD processors. But the threads are pretty old so I want to ask if it will now work. Will it work at all someday or is it just impossible with AMD processors?

no, so far i haven't heard of AMD adding equivalent capabilities to their latest cpu's.
