How to find a static value with cheat engine,
For Example
I am playing a sega game "street of rage" with emulator and i want to increase the damage of a single punch where i don't know its value or damage output. My question is how to find it and increase its damage?
note : its a static value.

Also change the value type to 2byte when it's an emulator
Btw: How do you know that the value is static?

One way to find damage is to find the instruction that is writing to enemy health value. From there, you can analyze code to find damage dealt.

unchanged will possibly work, but that is not going to help you refine anything.
maybe "between" will. even static values may not be static in memory.

If the value is constant all the time you won't get very far scanning for that value. Instead try to scan for another value that is somehow related to your static value and easier to scan for, then dissect it's base and randomly change (or debug) values within the base you think could be the target value ...
Or try the approch ++METHOS suggested ...
