When I do a pointerscan and select "Scan for addresses with Value" cheat engine freezes up. It doesn't matter how many levels or what I select for the kind of value. Task manager does not say not responding, but cheat engine just immediately stops responding as soon as i select where to save the pointerscan file to. Taskmanager shows cheat engine at 00 CPU utilization so it basically just stops.

Regarding this issue, there are a few things that you can try, but I can only guess, based on the limited information:
1. Run ceregreset.exe.
2. Run CE as admin (you can also try different compatibility modes, to rule that out).
3. Make sure you are logged in as admin and that you have the appropriate folder permissions for CE and for any directories that CE may use (such as for pointerscan files). You may have to make folders visible if they are hidden, and take ownership of the folders before setting any permission settings.
4. Make sure 3rd-party AV software or the like is not interfering.
5. Try uninstalling CE and reinstalling the latest version of CE from the CE website.
6. Make sure none of your folders contain any unusual characters in the name. etc..
