New scan, enter the business value of 1.
Buy business, change value, next scan.
Repeat until the number of entries is stable.
Change the values, and AdCap recognises that a business is now the new value.

This method worked for me, but now it's doing nothing. I found a table on another thread where the person had the same issue, it likewise didn't work.

From googling, the table appears to not work because the game was updated to version 3.1, but should that have affected the above method?

Perhaps they have changed the Value Type or you're using the Wrong Value Type? If I understood your question correctly..
