delsym is slow release, but lasts longer
you should take more than normal , but it will last like 8 hours

what is normal??? I usually drink a full 5oz bottle. it either fucks me up hard or barely does anything. I havnt taken it in a while though and im going to do it on an empty stomach

It depends on your body weight. Plus there is different "plateaus" for DXM, each of them having their own unique qualities.
I would say 300-400mg is a normal dose, for sitting around and getting some good effects. thats about 5oz bottle, BUT if you usually take delsym thats only around 150mg, but will last longer.
look up the different plateaus, then use a dosage calculator to get to desired effect.

dude a 5oz bottle has 1200mg of DXM lol
edit nvm, it has ~888mg

besides if its 888mg of delsym which is polystirex then its about 444mg, so about the right guess I had

do you know of any products that only contain DXM and not the polystirex kind?

certain Zicam sprays contain only dxm, and are concentrated so you could drink it like a shot
you can buy them online from amazon too
also a quick search shows you can straight up buy dxm powder online. make your own robo drink and youre good to go. I dont know how legit or safe this shit is though

Read the bottle with ingredients, if it says Guaifenesin or anything other than Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide don't drink it. There's these little Robitussin Cough Gels that Brolock mentioned, each bottle of pills has 300mg dxm. And only dxm.
I've been drinking cough syrup for like 8 years.
