|
|
| I've ran into an issue a few times where the program I'm debugging (with DBVM) seems to hang, but I can't close it. Task manager and 'taskkill' from the command line seem unable to close it. I can't debug the process using visual studio (operation not supported) which makes me think CE is still debugging it. The only way to solve it is to reboot my computer. Would it be possible to get some kind of 'hard kill' command in CE? |

that means that the debugged process is waiting for the signal from cheat engine to continue. But for some reason it never gets it,.
Because it's waiting in kernelmode it can't be destroyed until it leaves, but since it's waiting it never leaves.
There's no good way to kill it for now _________________

I am experiencing this right now, is there by now any way to end the debugged process? No force program whatsoever I've tried works. DarkByte, can you please find a way around this? |

Or pressing the power reset button.
It would be nice to have sort of an emergency 'kill debugged process' hotkey though, i don't use dbvm but still sometime manage to mess up the game to the point of no return. With 32bit games, olly comes to rescue (attach to CE and then close!) but with 64bit games, its hitting the power button and losing all data.
Not sure how easy that would be or if at all possible ? _________________
